Duration: 30 Minutes
Individual Assignment:
To get students to connect more closely to election outcomes, they should interview a family member about elections. The Parent and Students Talking to Each Other form that students were given prior to Lesson One should be used for this activity.
Small Group Instruction:
Students should be placed in small learning groups to discuss and tabulate their survey results items by item.
Whole Group Instruction:
The group results should be shared with the entire class. The compiled class results should be used to allow students to draw conclusions. The teacher may use the conclusion to generate a class discussion. The teacher may choose to use a graph format of their choice to summarize the data.
